Hello there,

I'm BELLE ^~^

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Anything that is virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I will seek after these things.. and reblog ;P

I am currently writing Elder Blayney Walshe, who is serving a mission in Manchester, England.
Although I am not a 'missionary girlfriend' per say - i happen to be a girl and the best friend ;P I will be posting up 'our' experiences here :D

new mission. new rules.

Finally received an email from Elder Walshe from the England Manchester Mission!

according to him, there are slight differences to the mission in terms of reporting etc but all and all the work there is good :D He is very happy to finally be there!

although i am very happy for him, I on the other hand was a little upset after reading his email.. Elder Walshe doesn’t email me directly you see, I receive a forward from his family which I am indeed very grateful for..

Blayney enlightened us with some of the mission rules, one in particular made my heart drop.. T^T

Only immediate family can write emails to him and in turn can only read/receive mail from them also (compared to friends emailing but no direct response) So therefore he’s asked that I continue to
only write letters (which is fine with me) however he also explained that despite the time it takes for a letter to be sent & replied too ~ He may not necessarily hear from me straight away. All mail gets sent to the mission home, which in this particular mission, only gets forwarded out to the corresponding missionaries when there is a conference or meeting. So unfortunately he won’t be hearing from me.. much at all.. He said, he’d be lucky to receive a letter once within a transfer..

We agreed, well Blayney suggested and I went along with it, only writing letters once a response was made, therefore we wouldn’t get confused in what we were replying too..

I sent him a letter 2 weeks ago, in the email he mentioned that he received mail already, I’m hoping he was referring to my letter.. now it’s just a matter of time till I hear from him. I hope I hear from him really soon ~ or that time flies til then…

SO many thing will happen and change in the space of time that it takes to hear from one another.. that’s the part that’ll be the hardest. When I could email, he could directly hear of my experience, growth, feelings in that week and somewhat feel what I’m going through with me~ now it’ll just be a passing moment on a page..

I’m not complaining… it just makes me a little sad.. well sad, full stop.

I guess now we can just focus on ourselves ~ and hopefully he can witness my growth through the letters he does receive. At least I’ll be able to hear from him on a weekly basis from his family..

I took advantage of how quickly we could communicate whilst he was still in Australia .. so now it’s really hitting me.

I know my best friend, and he’d want this to strengthen me and see this as an opportunity to continue to grow on my own and focus on my own needs.. right now I’m not really thinking about that.. but hopefully this feeling passes.. soon.

now i have to start writing my journal just so i don’t miss anything important.. as I’ll just share whatever happens in the week I receive a letter *sigh

this summer holidays are going to be long and lonely… :S

I bought stamps to send to the UK ages ago but since then the price has gone up by a whole 25c!!!

So I had to go buy some 10&5c stamps to make up the difference, which makes the envelope look a little crowded.. LOL XD

Sending letters is going to cost me a small fortune, however, communicating with my best friend who is literally on the other side of the world is priceless

Totally worth it, just to receive a letter in return :D

October 16th

I totally forgot to mention, for those who are unaware, Elder Walshe has been waiting for his visa to be approved, and its finally come through.. well he had it 2 weeks ago LOL

however, he has requested that he stays in the Sydney Australia Mission, until the end of this transfer to see the progression of his investigators and less actives :)
i remember when he was so eager to get to England, but now he is just focusing on the work of the Lord :D

So right now, Blayney is in a different state - in the same country, but as of the 16th of October he will be flying over to Manchester, England!!

It takes about 2 days for our letters to be relayed to each other.. now it’ll will be interesting to see how well i adjust to the 2-3 week wait for a letter :s

wish me luck!

It’s crazy to think that our letters will travel 16,978 km (10,550 miles) to reach one another.. let alone being that far apart.. for me, that literally on the other side of the world!!

he’s been away for 86 days ~ he has so much more miracles to witness :D

i’m soooo excited for him!!

only downside, is i have to put away serious $ to pay for stamps!! LOL

60 days

Well, I haven’t posted a blog in sooo long!! It’s funny how excited and motivated I was at the beginning.. But yeah, you know how it goes.

It’s crazy how many things have changed in just 60 days.. I’ve rediscovered so many things about myself that I’ve forgotten throughout time.. Like talents, interests, music.. Hopefully I’ll continue to develop & enjoy them :D

As for my missionary waiting.. Although we are no longer together.. He is my bestfriend. We continue to write each other and share our growth over these past couple if months.. I miss him. But we’re okay.. We’ll just see how it goes :)

But I’m okay.. I think I’ve finally adjusted and now focusing on me.. Which is different LOL

Hopefully I’ll be more proactive in tumblring more often.. ;P

Peace out :D
